Lateral view of a WT Molgula occidentalis mid tailbud embryo probed for Ebf (pink) and Slc18a3 (also known as VAChT, green) expressions. Ebf transcription is localized in the sensory vesicle and in the visceral ganglion.
Orignal annotation : Two-color ISH of Ebf and the cholinergic marker Slc18a3 (also known as vesicular acetylcholine transporter, or VAChT) revealed the earliest differentiating neurons of the larval CNS, the motor neurons of the motor ganglion (MG). The expression of Ebf is identical in Ciona embryos.
