Sequence from JGI V1.0 Genomic DNA fragments containing a 4.7-kb upstream region of Ci-VGLUT were amplified by PCR using a pair of gene-specific oligonucleotide primers 5-gatcgtcgacCCGGTATGTCCACAGCATTC-3 and 5-gtcAggAtccCACTTGTTGTTACTGCATAA-3 (the lowercase letters in the primer sequences indicate mismatched nucleotides introduced to generate restriction sites).
