Description

Region from -4208bp to the start codon allows expression in the
nervous systems (in the adhesive organ, brain vesicle, visceral ganglion, and dorsocaudal epidermal neurons on the dorsal midline
of the tail) and in the mesenchyme. No GFP expression was observed in tissues other than the nervous system and mesenchyme cells.
The region between -3176 and -3090 indicates a highly conserved region, Gai1-CNR.
