this construct contains the Ci-fkh cis regulatory region from -1,63 kb of the 5 flanking sequence and the first 86 codons of the ORF. This construct contains the 1,65 kb fusion gene lacking just the distal-most 20 bp. There is a dramatic loss of staining in the endoderm. In addition, strong ectopic expression is consistently observed in the A8.16 muscles and lateral ependymal cells.
